The Western Australian Training Awards is the State’s premier awards program recognising excellence in vocational education and training (VET) and the outstanding achievements of our students, apprentices and trainees, practitioners and training providers, organisations and employers. In 2024, the Awards celebrated their 30-year anniversary and were bigger than ever with a record number of applicants.
Today, a new WA Training Awards website has launched in WA.gov.au; making it even easier to find information, resources and support. The new website will also play a key role in promoting the Awards and celebrating excellence in WA’s VET sector.
We invite you to visit the new website at wa.gov.au/watrainingawards.
This change aligns with the WA ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿â€™s Digital Strategy for the Western Australian ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ 2021—2025 and Digital Services Policy Framework that establishes the strategic direction for WA government agencies to deliver a more consistent online presence and more and better digital services through the WA.gov.au website, which was established in February 2018 as WA’s whole-of-government digital services portal.
Redirects are in place from the old to new website, but you may also like to update your bookmarks and/or websites and other items with new links for key content. WATA customers and stakeholders have been individually contacted to advise of the website change.
The Department remains committed to supporting the WA Training Awards, and being responsive to the needs of the WA community, its employers and businesses.
Take the leap in 2025!
The WA Training Awards 2025 will open for applications in February 2025. If you’re ready to take the leap, you’ll find all the information, resources and support you need to help with your application on the website once applications open.
