A $1 million International Education Familiarisation Program to reconnect with key offshore recruitment staff has been launched.
This exciting program will showcase Western Australia to key stakeholders offshore, providing them with the experience they need to promote the state to prospective students. This program forms part of the initiatives that rebuild the pipeline of future students and support the sector鈥檚 reconnection efforts.
The $1 million International Education Familiarisation Program will deliver familiarisations under two categories:
- Education Trade Familiarisations, hosted by WA 黑料正能量鈥檚 Education Business Development Managers
- Collaborative Familiarisation Fund, accessible by the Western Australian international education sector.
Education Business Development Managers are located in Invest and Trade Offices across 5 regions; southeast Asia Nations, the United Kingdom/Europe, India-Gulf, northeast Asia and China. The International Education Familiarisation Program will see the Education Business Development Managers located in these offices invite key offshore recruitment staff to Western Australia to showcase Western Australia and deliver productive relationships for the State.
Through the Collaborative Familiarisation Fund, the Western Australian International Education sector will have the opportunity to access funding to deliver collaborative familiarisations that promote the state as a study destination like no other. The sector is invited to apply for grant funding of up to $50,000 for each familiarisation program.
The Fund promotes collaboration between Western Australian education providers, relevant government bodies, and tourism operators to ensure that Western Australia as a study destination is represented in a united front.
The Collaborative Familiarisation Fund will be open for application until identified funding has been exhausted.
