The purpose of this discussion paper is to consult with stakeholders on proposals to reform the management of controlled waste in Western Australia to ensure the Environmental Protection (Controlled Waste) Regulations 2004 are risk-based, streamlined and effective. Results of the consultation will lead to the development of options for reform that will be the subject of a comprehensive regulatory impact assessment process.
