These descriptions are based on the results of three groundwater investigation programs instigated by the Geological Survey of Western Australia in 1993 and completed by the Water and Rivers Commission in 1996.
Extensive and detailed borehole logs, produced by Western Collieries Ltd., were also used to supplement the existing data and previous reports on the Wilga Basin were reviewed.
