The River restoration manual is a series of guidelines on the nature, rehabilitation and long-term management of waterways in Western Australia. The chapters of the series collectively form the manual. 

This chapter provides information about the importance structural and functional role vegetation plays in the riparian zone. It also provides guidance on site planning, species selection, plant establishment, and monitoring and maintenance.
