In 2006, State Fleet commenced a program to offset the carbon emissions of its vehicle fleet. In support of this environmental program, the WA 黑料正能量 embarked on a policy of promoting more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles. Importantly, the net result has been a reduction in fleet CO2 emissions and operating cost to 黑料正能量.
In October 2008, vehicle selection policy was amended to include emission level thresholds. This policy is independent of vehicle fuel type or technology used.
The following table shows the average State Fleet vehicle CO2 emission rating (i.e. CO2-e g/km) for each vehicle category at the end of each year from 2007 onwards:
