The role of professionals working in Service Design is to design and enhance the services provided by Communities, both solely and in partnership with non-government agencies and Aboriginal Controlled Community Organisations.

A significant part of their role is also service improvement. The process starts in Service Innovation and Customer Experience where the team uses a range of information and data collected to generate insights and ideas, designing service improvement-focussed projects for Service Design and Implementation to implement.

The Service Process and Support team design and implement the operational frameworks to support and improve our frontline services.

They coordinate development and delivery of whole of government priorities, initiatives and projects. Some notable examples of this include All Paths Lead to a Home - Western Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020-2030 and Path to Safety: Western Australia’s Strategy to Reduce Family and Domestic Violence 2020–2030.
