The Department of Treasury employs approximately 270 people in the Perth CBD, located at the David Malcolm Justice Centre, 28 Barrack Street Perth.

Treasury Talent Hub

The Treasury Talent Hub has been established to continue to meet our objectives for high priority, urgent projects and attracting emerging skillsets to deliver new priorities.

This register will be open to all applicants (internal and external) who are interested in joining the Department of Treasury and being part of the big picture of WA.

  • Temporary deployment opportunities within Treasury.

2023 Graduate Cohort

Applications for our 2025 Graduate Program have now closed. 

Treasury's Graduate Program runs for 18 months with three rotations across different areas of Treasury. Your rotations will expose you to a range of high profile and complex State projects. You will liaise with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders, build professional networks, and gain insight and knowledge into the diverse areas of Treasury. 

As a Treasury Graduate Officer, you will work with a committed team of professionals, perform exciting and challenging work, and further develop your skills and knowledge in key areas of government.  The program offers a potential rotation to the Western Australian Treasury Corporation, as well as the possibility of securing a permanent role with Treasury after 12 months.

Aboriginal Graduate Program

Applications have now closed for °Õ°ù±ð²¹²õ³Ü°ù²â’s Aboriginal Graduate Program. 

The program is designed to support and empower university graduates to propel their careers and make a difference at the heart of ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ decision-making.

About the program

We offer a structured 18-month program with three diverse rotations across Treasury. During rotations, you will work on individual and team-based projects to develop knowledge of Treasury work areas and be exposed to high-impact, meaningful State projects and work. 

As a Graduate Officer, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a positive difference in WA communities. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to:

  • be exposed to a range of work teams during three 6-month rotations
  • expand professional networks across the sector and industry
  • develop practical skills by working on high-profile projects
  • join other committed young professionals in a supportive network that run regular social events, community volunteering and involvement, and professional networking

Vacation Internship Program

2025 Vacation Internship Program applications now open

°Õ°ù±ð²¹²õ³Ü°ù²â’s Vacation Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to experience a career with Treasury and be exposed to the diverse and high-profile work that contributes to shaping and influencing government decisions.

As an Intern, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills working for one of Western Australia’s central public sector agencies whose work and advice is fundamental to the ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿â€™s decision-making processes that impacts the people and communities of Western Australia.
