Alkimos Station development application (Yanchep rail extension)

The Western Australian Planning Commission has sought feedback on a development application from the NEWest Alliance relating to the construction of the proposed Alkimos Station.

The Alkimos Station development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The Alkimos Station development application proposes the construction of:

  • a new universally accessible station
  • a new bus interchange facility and bicycle parking infrastructure
  • a new road network to provide access to the station and bus interchange
  • a dedicated passenger drop off area and a park and ride facility with approximately 400 bays.

Bayswater Station development application

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) sought comment on a development application from the Evolve Bayswater Alliance relating to the redevelopment of Bayswater Station, a key METRONET project.

The Bayswater Station development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The Bayswater Station development application proposes the redevelopment of

Bayswater Station including:

  • New rail bridges and two new station island platforms.
  • Station entry west of King William Street and another east of King William Street.
  • Integrated pedestrian, cyclist, bus and vehicle access into the station.
  • New bus bays and vehicle parking bays.
  • Landscaping and urban design features within the station precinct.
  • Modifications to the road network and intersections on Whatley Crescent, King William Street, Coode Street, Beechboro Road South, Railway Parade, Rose Avenue and Hamilton Street.
  • Tenancy spaces in the eastern station entry building for a range of retail, commercial, culture and creative industry, community, dining and entertainment uses.
  • Staged construction to maintain public access and public transport operations as far as possible through the construction operations

The Western Australian Planning Commission has sought feedback on a development application from the NEWest Alliance relating to the construction of the proposed Eglinton Station.

The Eglinton Station development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Ellenbrook Station development application (Morley-Ellenbrook Line)

The Western Australian Planning Commission sought comment on a development application from the MEL CONNX relating to the construction of the proposed Ellenbrook Station.

The development application will be determined by the Western Australian Planning Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Ellenbrook Station

Development application details

The Ellenbrook Station development application proposes the construction of:

  • an at-grade station building (including the station entrance and platform concourse) with typical station amenities
  • a new bus interchange immediately north of the Ellenbrook Station
  • a new shared / Principal Shared Path
  • a dedicated passenger drop off area and a park and ride facility with approximately 500 bays

Lakelands Station development application

The Western Australian Planning Commission sought comment on a development application relating to the construction of the proposed Lakelands Station.

The development application will be determined by a Development Assessment Panel in accordance with the Planning and Development Act 2005 and Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panel) Regulations 2011.

Development application details

The Lakelands Station development application proposes the construction of:

  • Station entry building with pedestrian overpass connecting two marginal platforms set in an existing cutting with associated amenities including ticketing machine facilities, bicycle storage and toilets
  • A mode-separated bus interchange facility with provision for 8 bus bays
  • Car parking comprising 400 bay at-grade car bays and separate passenger drop off area; and
  • Road works to provide car park access off Ashwood Parkway and bus access from Lake Valley Drive, including modification to the existing Lake Valley Drive roundabout and Ashwood Parkway/Lake Valley Drive intersection.

Malaga Station development application (Morley-Ellenbrook Line)

The Western Australian Planning Commission sought comment on a development application from the MELconnx relating to the construction of the proposed Malaga Station.

The development application will be determined by the Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The Malaga Station development application proposes the construction of:

  • a new Station building;
  • a new bus interchange;
  • new pedestrian and cyclist facilities;
  • a dedicated passenger drop off area and a park and ride facility with approximately 1100 bays;
  • high quality landscaping; and
  • public art.

The Western Australian Planning Commission is seeking comment on a development application from the MELconnx relating to the construction of the proposed Morley Station.

The development application will be determined by the Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

Submissions close at 5pm on 23 June 2022.

The Morley Station development application proposes the construction of:

  • a new station building (including station entries on north and south sides of Broun Avenue) with typical station amenities;
  • 12 stand bus interchange with weather protection;
  • a dedicated passenger drop off area and multi storey carpark with approximately 365 bays with a bridge to Broun Avenue; 
  • new pedestrian and cyclist facilities with connections to the existing PSP network;
  • landscaped forecourt and station entrance.

The Western Australian Planning Commission is seeking comment on a development application from the MELconnx relating to the construction of the proposed Noranda Station.

The development application will be determined by the Commission in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is seeking comment on a development application from the MELconnx relating to the construction of the proposed Whiteman Park Station.

The development application will be determined by the WAPC in accordance with section 116 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.
