Apprenticeship Office

The Department of Training and Workforce Development's Apprenticeship Office registers and administers training contracts, as well as regulating the apprenticeship system in WA, in accordance with Part 7 of the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996.

Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN)

AASN providers provide advice and support services tailored to the needs of employers and apprentices throughout the apprenticeship lifecycle – from pre-commencement through to completion. Some AASNs provide a job search service and can help employers find an apprentice or trainee.

Aboriginal Services

If you are an Aboriginal person looking to get into training, find employment or further your career there is a range of culturally-sensitive training, employment and career support services available from your local Jobs and Skills Centre.

If you are an employer looking for resources, advice or support on recruitment and retention strategies to make your workplace and employment practices more culturally-sensitive and welcoming to Aboriginal people, your local Jobs and Skills Centre can help.

Department of Training and Workforce Development

The Department is the State ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ agency responsible for training and workforce development in WA. It works closely with industry, government and the community to support and facilitate training and workforce development strategies that will build, attract and retain a skilled workforce.

Training Accreditation Council 

The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) is WA's VET Regulator. TAC is responsible for the quality assurance and recognition of VET services in WA, including through the registration of training providers and the accreditation of courses.

Jobs and Skills Australia

The national body Jobs and Skills Australia was established in 2022 to engage, advise and assist the Australian ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ and other stakeholders in decision-making on the current, emerging and future skills and workforce needs of the Australian economy. This includes regional, rural and remote Australia, and on the development of new industries and new technologies.

Jobs and Skills Councils

A network of 10 industry-led national Jobs and Skills Councils have been established by the Australian ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ to support the work of Jobs and Skills Australia. These councils work closely with industry and training providers to identify the skills and workforce needs of their sectors, map career pathways, develop training products, and to support skills and workforce development in their industries.
